The Latin Quarter

The Latin Quarter lies on the left bank of the river, from Saint-Germain-des-Prés to the Panthéon, from the Seine to the Jardin du Luxembourg, partly in the 6th and the 5th arrondissements of Paris. This is the place for the most famous high-schools, prestigious educational institutions and universities in which teaching was once performed exclusively in Latin.
